This is a traditional, one day, Black Forest cuckoo clock made extra special by the “feeding nest” movement.
It was built in 1979, as time stamped on the movement. When we received the clock, the movement and bellows were removed from the case and inspected. The bellows look good, and the rear hinge was reinforced so that they don't need to be dealt with for years to come.
After inspection, the plastic time wheel was replaced with a new OEM wheel.
The worn areas in the plates had bushings installed as can be seen in the photos, everything cleaned in an ultrasonic, put back together, timed, oiled and put back in the case.
**There looks to be one small hairline that was repaired in its life on the top as pointed out in the photos which is barely visible unless you look for it.
