This strikingly painted cuckoo is a “moving bird” clock. The two birds move to feed the baby eggs in the nest reminiscent of spring and Easter.
This clock is in remarkable condition for its age (manufactured in the late 1950s-1960s). It features a rebuilt Badufa movement. The Black Forest movement was produced with all brass fittings.
There is one hairline crack that is barely visible on the right bird and one up at the apex of the roof.
Cuckoo clocks are purely mechanical and need no batteries or outside power source, making them both heirlooms and completely reliable in all circumstances.
